A 30-year-old officer faces prosecution over the death of Margaret McCarron, 58, who passed away at University Hospital Wishaw in September 2021.
A cop has been charged after a gran who was struck by a marked police van in Motherwell died. Margaret McCarron was left fatally injured after being hit by the Transit van while walking on the town’s Merry Street on September 19, 2021.
"On the further instruction of COPFS, a 30-year-old police officer has now been charged in connection with the matter. A further report has been submitted to the COPFS."
