Our client is looking for a SQL DBA for a 12 month contract in Illovo Sandton. They are looking for the following skillset:– Strong understanding of database architecture and administration.– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.– Install, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server instances: Ensure that all database environments are deployed, maintained, and managed.
– Develop and implement database security policies: Protect sensitive data by establishing and enforcing security measures.– Design and implement backup strategies: Create disaster recovery processes and failover systems to ensure data integrity.– Manage database backup and recovery: Ensure data is backed up regularly and can be restored efficiently.– Collaborate with IT and business analysts: Work closely with other teams to support database-related needs and projects.
– Experience: Proven experience in database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security.– Strong understanding of database architecture and administration.– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
