Following his impressive Africa Cup of Nations campaign earlier this year, Mokwena is now a wanted man. Several overseas clubs have expressed their interest in the Bafana Bafana star player.Sundowns have not publicly stated whether they want to sell Teboho Mokoena or not.
Teboho Mokoena has not featured for Sundowns since mid-April due to a hamstring injury. He will be fit for the Nedbank Cup Cup final against Orlando Pirates on 1 June.“There’s obviously been a lot of speculation around the players because of their success in the tournament. But all players have long-term contracts at their clubs,” he said then.Mokoena started his career with SuperSport United in 2016.
After two solid seasons with Bafana Ba Style, it might be time for Teboho Mokoena to leave Sundowns. His dream is to play overseas and a move to Europe is imminent. Mokoena’s agent was hopeful that the club would be reasonable and allow the star to play football at the highest levels abroad.
