A man with a long record of Metro Vancouver thefts stemming from an opioid addiction has been jailed for one day in addition to time served after pleading guilty to a string of robberies.
Judge James Bahen heard from Crown prosecutor Marcel Lehoulier that Thibault’s list of prior convictions is 14 pages long. The court heard Thibault was caught taking $140 worth of material from a London Drugs, caught with $440 in merchandise from the Vancouver Granville Street Winners outlet on Aug. 4 and, on Sept. 10, took $401 in goods from Mountain Equipment Co-op’s Vancouver store.
