Artist impression of the Jurong Lake District station, which will begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2024. Jurong Lake District will be developed over the next two decades, with offices, housing and amenities planned for the area. By 2040 to 2050, it will have 100,000 new jobs and 20,000 homes.
There is a potential yield of about 1,700 housing units, at least 146,000 sq m of office space and 73,000 sq m of gross floor area for shops, restaurants, entertainment, hotel, community uses or more offices.The S$590 million contract to design and construct the Jurong Lake District station - a working name - and tunnels was awarded to KTC Civil Engineering and Construction, announced LTA on Wednesday.
The company is currently involved in the construction of Maju station on the CRL and Sungei Bedok station on the TEL.
