Developer Lincoln Property Co. is building its Lincoln Katy Trail rental project on Carlisle Street just east of Turtle Creek.

The more than 300-unit apartment development will replace 115 aging condominiums on the site between Hall and Bowen streets.The developers gained zoning for the project last year afterwith nearby property owners and community groups opposed to the plan.

The project is similar to others currently in the works for Uptown and is not the high-rise style of construction increasingly prevalent in the neighborhood.
