The hotel will be six stories with 100 guest rooms plus a ground-floor restaurant with outdoor seating.
Work on the first floor is currently underway after site work began in August, he said.
"This is an emerging area within the Brooklyn District of the Northbank Downtown CRA, [Community Redevelopment Area]," DIA staff said in its report.
