Conor Burns 'was subject of sexual harassment complaint' five years before sacking
It comes as Mr Burns separately denied claims of inappropriate behaviour at the party conference two weeks ago.
Last week a witness told Tory officials about Mr Burns' alleged "lecherous behaviour" toward a younger man at the Birmingham Hyatt Hotel bar at night.The shamed MP told Channel 4: “I still have not been told by the party the nature of the allegations or the timeframe for me to engage in the enquiry. “I’m looking forward to clearing my name and I’m looking forward to returning to parliament in due course. I will be going back when this process is finished.”He claimed fellow Tories find it “beyond strange” the whip was withdrawn.The pair met in a lift at Tory conference, where Mel was speaking at a SunOne bystander who witnessed the shamed MP’s comment told The Sun: “Conor’s comment was extremely inappropriate, and Mel was visibly shocked.
