Congresistas demócratas urgen a Biden a mediar para un alto al fuego en Israel y Gaza

Un grupo de congresistas demócratas estadounidenses introdujo este lunes una resolución que reclama a la Administración de Joe Biden solicitar el alto el fuego y facilitar la desescalada en el conflicto palestino-israelí.

El texto está impulsado por los legisladores Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, André Carson, Summer Lee y Delia Ramirez, del ala izquierdista del Partido Demócrata. Tlaib es actualmente la única legisladora estadounidense de origen palestino y ha enfrentado muchas críticas incluso de sus propias filas por oponerse a la ocupación israelí y tener una bandera de Palestina en su oficina.
