The Buccaneers’ 2023/24 campaign that brought with it the MTN8, Nedbank Cup and a second-placed finish came on the back of a pre-season that was largely spent in Spain, the home country of head coach Jose Riveiro.Based in Marbella from July 9 to July 21 last year, this is where they got to face the likes of Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel, Independiente de Valle from Ecuador, and UD Las Palmas who had just won promotion to LaLiga.
