The collision was checked by the match officials, but they decided the hit only warranted a penalty and not a yellow card. Rassie Erasmus announced on Monday that Mapimpi suffered a fractured eye socket during his head clash with Tonga scrumhalf Augustine Pulu and will be sidelined for four to six weeks.
