Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has vowed to look closely at new laws in Scotland which make it easier for people to change gender, saying he will then 'decide on the appropriate course of action'.
0:35It would be"completely reasonable" for the UK hovernment to consider blocking new gender reforms in Scotland, Rishi Sunak has said.
Speaking during a visit to a homeless shelter in London, the prime minister said:"Lots of people have got concerns about this new bill in Scotland, about the impact it will have on women's and children's safety. The new legislation will lower the age people can apply to change their gender to 16, remove the need for a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria for a gender recognition certificate and reduce the time an applicant needs to live in their acquired gender.
