Carter put together a tremendous senior campaign, earning Class 6A Mr. Football honors as a two-way player for his high school team. On defense, he tallied 58 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks. He also served as the primary running back on offense, rushing for 673 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Tennessee grabs another top-level, in-state talent and the newly-minted No. 1 player in the Volunteer State for the 2023 class. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect is a physical tackler that has excellent pass-rushing ability and can cover a lot of ground sideline-to-sideline with his speed and athleticism.
