An SABC1 presenter, who is also a stand up comedian, is expected to appear at the Randburg Magistrates' Court on Thursday, on charges of assault and pointing of a firearm.
It is alleged that the 31-year-old from Diepkloof assaulted a woman believed to be his girlfriend. It was further reported that he pointed a gun at her and her friends. It is not yet clear when the alleged incident took place.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed to City Press that the presenter was arrested on Tuesday morning. However, could not be named as he has not yet appeared in court.Police can confirm that a 31-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with assault and pointing of firearm. He is expected to appear before the Randburg Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 10.
