Folk singer Damien Quinn revamped his hit tune after being “inundated” with messages after Armagh’s semi-final win over Kerry
Armagh’s All-Ireland preparations are in full swing with flags and bunting going up across towns and villages ahead of next weekend’s final against Galway.
“When they won the semi-final, I was inundated with messages to get the 2002 song updated,” said Quinn. Armagh stars Rian O'Neill, Aidan Forker and Conor Turbitt are referenced in the new version while Joe Kernan "was the man" in 2002, his All-Ireland winning captain Kieran McGeeney now leads the "mighty band" in 2024.
