Good morning, Central Ohio! The next few days will be very active with multiple rounds of rain showers and thunderstorms. Rain showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible later this morning with cloudy skies. Temperatures will be mild in the mid-60s. More rain showers and thunderstorms may develop in the evening as a cold front swings into the area. Temperatures will fall into the mid-40s overnight. We start Easter with mostly cloudy skies.
By the evening, rain and thunderstorms develop with a few strong storms possible. The Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk over Central Ohio on Sunday. Storms will be capable of producing hail and gusty winds. Rain showers and thunderstorms continue into Monday as the low-pressure system tracks through the Plains. It remains wet and stormy into Tuesday as the low tracks through the Midwest.
Rain lingers into Wednesday and Thursday as the low lifts into the Great Lakes region. Temperatures will trend cooler in the upper 40s. Depending on temperatures, some snow may try to mix in during the morning hours. Rainfall amounts will range from 1-3” across the area from these waves of rain showers and thunderstorms. We eventually dry out on Friday.
