Officer shot in downtown Columbus, one suspect dead as police search for second suspect

The incident caused major havoc with the evening commute as sections of Interstates 70 and 71 were shut down while authorities search for a suspect on foot.

Officers shut down I-70 through a large swath of the city. Dozens of Columbus police, along with officers from Franklin and Perry townships and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, were at the scene. A swarm of law enforcement vehicles surrounded the stolen vehicle on the interstate.
