A man was reported uninjured after being rescued Tuesday afternoon when a cable snapped on the elevator he was riding in the Rhodes Tower in Downtown Columbus.
Columbus firefighters rescued a man uninjured Tuesday afternoon after a cable snapped on the elevator he was riding in the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, Downtown.
Once on scene, it was determined that one man was in the elevator, which had fallen a short distance after a cable snapped before the elevator's emergency braking system automatically engaged and brought the elevator to a stop on the 12th floor, Martin said.
