Spanish court’s ruling that she must stand trial for tax fraud allegedly committed at a time when she claims she was not living in the country

Prosecutors claim the singer of 2010 Soccer World Cup theme song fame failed to pay up to €14.5m in tax on income earned between 2012 and 2014. The new decision is a ratification of a prior court ruling issued in July 2021. The court still has to formally send her to stand trial and set a date.
