A bank in East Lancashire has been 'ram-raided' by thieves in an early hours break-in
Police rushed to the scene on Albert Road in Colne after the offenders used a vehicle to force entry into the Skipton Building Society branch. Lancashire Constabulary said they attempted to steal a large safe but left the scene empty handed.
The incident was first reported at around 1.40am today . No arrests have been made and yhe road remains closed in both directions from Spring Lane to Earl Street.A force spokesperson told LancsLive: "We are investigating a burglary which happened at around 1.40am this morning at the Skipton Building Society on Albert Road in Colne. A vehicle was used to force entry into the building and suspects have attempted to steal a large safe.
