Collier’s goal lifts San Antonio FC to road win at Orange County SC

Elliot Collier scored the only goal of the match in the 60th minute, lifting San Antonio FC to a 1-0 win against defending league champion Orange County SC on Saturday at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, California.
The win continues a hot start to the season for SAFC , which returns home to face El Paso Locomotive at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Mitchell Taintor sparked the decisive scoring play against Orange County with a takeaway on the wing. He sent a chipped cross through the penalty area, and Collier connected with a leaping half-volley from the edge of the 6-yard box that bounced off the far post and into the net.
Orange County SC led 19-13 in shots and 6-4 in shots on target, but San Antonio goalkeeper Jordan Farr came through with six saves.
