This undated file photo provided by the U.S. Attorney’s office shows Lawrence Ray, the ex-convict charged with sex trafficking and extortion for forcing young women into prostitution or forced labour after winning trust by posing as a father-figure.The bizarre tale began in 2010 when Ray — 51 years old at the time — was living in the women’s dorms with his daughter at Sarah Lawrence. Pollok was his first recruit.
Pollok’s legal eagles — David Bertan and Jill Shellow — pulled back the curtain on her relationship with Ray in a 10-page letter. “When I started at Sarah Lawrence College in 2009, I saw it as opportunity to escape all the hardships in my life,” she wrote.
