The Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador says the College of Physicians and Surgeons is supportive of the move to create an Atlantic registry for doctors.during a news conference by the Council of Atlantic Premiers yesterday.

The registry, they say, will eliminate much of the red tape that doctors face in getting licensed in other provinces.Furey says it is a “very welcome” move.Last week Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador described air access to the province as being their biggest concern. Furey says air access is a shared concern among all the Atlantic provinces. He says they are looking at creative ideas to service the region—such as incentives for more local carriers to potentially expand their service.
