Particpating in the NCAA Division II Regionals have become a habit for Point Loma Nazarene. For Cal State San Marcos, this is new territory.
awaits the losing team at approximately 2 p.m. San Marcos and Pomona are both members of the California Collegiate Athletic Association. This is the sixth meeting this season between the teams. They split a four-game regular-season series and Pomona beat the Cougars 10-3 in last week’s CCAA Tournament. San Marcos led the conference with 8.2 runs a game. The key for the Cougars will be a pitching after their staff was depleted by injuries during the season.
defeated Pomona 17-4 in April in a nonconference game, but has not played Cal State San Marcos this season. The Sea Lions led their conference in hitting , scoring , ERA , saves and fielding percentage , among other categories.
