.Kaepernick7 spent his SuperBowl Sunday fitting suits for charity.
, a Queens-based nonprofit started by New York native Kevin Livingston that provides free suits and other services to help men and women prepare for job interviews. Livingston first began handing out suits at local community events in 2011, and in 2016 he opened his first boutique in the same building as the Queens parole office.
There, formerly incarcerated men perused a selection of donated formal attire, with the help of a volunteer stylist, and could get those garments tailored and altered to their needs. Even something like a simple suit and tie is often the unlikely crux of getting gainful employment, which canKaepernick has long been involved with Livingston’s project.
