Gauteng residents should brace for cold temperatures and isolated showers this week, as cooler conditions grip much of the province.
Gauteng will continue to experience cold nights and cool daytime conditions this week, with forecasters warning of light rainfall over parts of the province. Johannesburg and Pretoria are forecast to drop to overnight lows of 6°C and 8°C respectively, while daytime highs will remain modest at 18°C and 20°C.
According to Odirile Modipa, a forecaster, “We’re expecting quite cold conditions overnight for most parts of the country, with minimums averaging 8°C across the central interior.”Isolated showers and thundershowers will likely develop over Gauteng, especially in the western regions. These conditions form part of a broader weather system affecting the central interior, including the North West, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga.
