JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Finance MMC Dada Morero has urged households across the metro to avoid defaulting on their municipal rates and taxes.

While the City of Joburg primarily relies on revenue generated from trading services, its annual budget is also made up of projected loans and grants from the national treasury. Morero said that more effort would be pumped towards revenue collection, which he believes could free Joburg from its financial crisis.
