The Australian’s Greg Sheridan says Australia is “trying to become Europe” with the current energy policy by abandoning coal – which is still a popular form of getting power.
“Coal, far from the world turning its back on it, it’s booming all over the world,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“More than half the countries which have formal declaration to abandon coal actually increased their coal-fired electricity generation in 2021.”
