Coach Eli Manning? Not for long, as Giants legend describes short-lived stint

Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning won a pair of Super Bowl MVPs during his 16 seasons in the NFL.

“She’s in sixth grade now. I coached in third and fourth grade. At the end of the fourth-grade year, I got my first e-mail from a parent complaining about some playing time, or complaining about the offense I was running. And I’m out. I’m going. I’ll still coach. I did third grade again for my daughter last year. Assistant coach. And my only rule is I don’t deal with parents. I don’t do e-mails. I don’t send anything. I’ll be there at practice. I’ll put in some plays. I’ll coach them up.

Manning, who won a pair of Super Bowl titles in his 16 seasons in the NFL, retired after the 2019 season.
