Russell Westbrook has made his decision about his player option for next season.
Much of the talk around the Los Angeles Clippers' 2024 offseason has been about what star Paul George will do with his player option and rightfully so. But the Clippers do have other players that are eligible to become free agents. One of those is guard Russell Westbrook, who has picked up his player option with the team.Westbrook had a $4 million player option for next season and has elected to remain with the team, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Westbrook has become a polarizing player over the years and his decline in athleticism hasn't helped him on the court. He was once one of the more unstoppable players in the entire NBA but has since slowed on his ability to attack the rim. Westbrook still plays with a lot of energy but it seems that Father Time may be catching up to him a little bit.
