Philippe Clement reportedly turned down a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia to become Rangers manager.
It's claimed the Belgian boss had an offer on the table worth up to Є15m in the Saudi Pro League but instead opted for Glasgow.reports that Al-Shabab pushed to land Clement as their new manager but were pipped by the draw of the Ibrox club.
However, he decided a move to Rangers was the correct option with the challenge and family reasons thought to have played a part in the decision.On his move to Rangers, Clement said: “I am honoured to have been appointed as the new manager of Rangers Football Club and I’d like to thank the board for giving me this opportunity.
“I am looking forward to meeting with the players in the coming days and to meeting our supporters at next Saturday’s home match with Hibernian, as we set out together to create a successful, winning Rangers.”
