As excitement mounts for the first-ever Netball World Cup on African soil, the City of Cape Town is establishing a Fan Park outside the Convention Centre for all netball enthusiasts and sports fans to gather for the duration of the tournament:
The first-ever Netball World Cup on African soil, to be hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre , is just three weeks away.
To maximise the fun, the City of Cape Town is establishing a Fan Park outside the Convention Centre for all netball enthusiasts and sports fans to gather for the duration of the tournament.To be found at the Fan Park is some of the country’s top music talent including Nasty C, Simmy, Goodluck, Emo Adams, DJ Grant Lesch and Kurt Darren, all set to keep you entertained with a five-hour concert to kick off the festivities.
While the Fan Park will officially be opened on Friday, 28 July until Sunday, 6 August, the concert will be held on Wednesday, 26 July, at the site to kickstart theEnjoy a two-hour surfing, rock climbing or mountain biking experience in Cape Town worth R1500 for only R799. Get itIn addition to live daily entertainment, spectators can expect Fan Park days to be filled with action-packed activities.
‘We encourage all those who are in Cape Town during the Netball World Cup to come through to the Fan Park to enjoy an all-day experience featuring live entertainment, interactive games and all sorts of activations.’ The Fan Park is free of charge for all residents and visitors and will be open daily from 7am and close after the final match of the day.There are still tickets available for some of the games so if you haven’t secured yours yet, you can do so
