“The entity has already started recording a sharp increase in electricity demand, which exerts unbearable pressure on the network and resources,” Mangena stated. “Customers are reminded that although load shedding is currently suspended until further notice, if it is reinstated, load reduction will continue parallel to load shedding in these mentioned areas and others if energy consumption is not reduced,” he said.The utility recommends exploring alternative energy sources and consistently switching off all non-essential appliances.
