The City of Johannesburg wants to declare parts of the CBD a local disaster area.
City Manager, Floyd Brink, says this will free up resources to repair blast damage on Lillian Ngoyi Street.
The declaration of the disaster is critical in order for us to assess the impact of the explosion on our infrastructure and the costs for the rehabilitation and or the reconstruction work that must take place in that area,To classify accordingly in line with the act and to declare the disaster according once the outlined processes have been concluded,
