The group will meet once monthly at Doug Tew Center to discuss project ideas, give and receive updates on completed projects, work on group projects and socialize. The Doug Tew Christmas Shoppe consists of handmade items made by special needs participants and items made by individuals who donate their handmade projects to the shoppe.
Proceeds from the sale of items in the Christmas Shoppe benefit programs and events for special needs children and adults. The City of Dothan says this group will allow sewers to share sewing supplies and ideas with like-minded individuals.Participants need to have their own sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. The Therapeutics Center is also looking for people to donate sewing supplies.
