City of Cape Town to grow 5000 trees during Climate Change month via SABCNewsOnline
The Spekboom Challenge began on social media and is aimed at motivating South Africans to plant at least 10 trees each this year
Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services, Zahid Badroodien, says they want Cape Town to be recognised as an Urban Forest. Meanwhile, more than 20 companies and organisations in South Africa have joined forces in Cape Town to reduce plastic usage.They are joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Plastics Pact global network which is aligned with the New Plastics Economy vision.
