Latest Nottingham Forest news as the Reds' stadium looks set to host Take That after logo appeared on the Trent End
Steve Cooper continues to work on relighting the Reds’ fire by getting a tune out of his new-look squad. And while a little patience may be required, there is no doubt Forest can be magic .
New signage was also put in around the ground, with the Garibaldi red looking much fresher and given more prominence. The home dressing room was revamped last season, a new media suite has been unveiled and the pitch was relaid in the summer at a cost of £2 million. The club are keen to ramp up the number and quality of non-matchday events. Indeed, it is understood over the next 12 months they plan to increase their conference and event bookings outside of matchdays.
“The product of the Premier League is an international vehicle and an international tool. It’s not just about saying, yes, we want to make commercial gains from different parts of the world. Everybody is looking in on this amazing show every week, and therefore they want to hear about it. And it is not just music concerts which can help boost the Reds’ wider profile. Progress in the Premier League will do the same, of course, while next month will see the stadium host England Under-21s.
A committee report which was published prior to approval being granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council last year outlined how the club wanted a redeveloped Peter Taylor Stand to “accommodate a series of business and commercial activities”, allowing for it to act as a venue for conferences, other events and private hire. The improved facilities, it was said, would “allow for wide-ranging community use”.
