A 12-mile stretch of the street between Cincinnati Avenue and SW Military Drive will get mid-block crossings to slow traffic for pedestrians.
The City of San Antonio is planning mid-block crossings on Zarzamora street, similar to the mid-block crossing seen near the UTSA Downtown Ccampus, as part of the Safe Streets & Roads for All Grant Award.
“We’re a big city with big needs,” said Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda, who chairs the Transportation and Mobility Committee that heard a presentation on the grant Tuesday. “Zarzamora Street, specifically, has needed these upgrades for generations.”Success! You're on the list.
