El delantero mexicano Hirving “Chucky” Lozano firmó el jueves un contrato por cuatro años con el San Diego FC, equipo que debutará en la MLS la próxima temporada. Lozano, de 28 años, llegará al fútbol estadounidense procedente del PSV Eindhoven de Holanda, donde pasó su última temporada y donde permanecerá por lo que resta del 2024. San Diego FC dijo que el traspaso del jugador se concretará a partir del 1 de enero de 2025.
Lozano debutó con Pachuca donde fue campeón de liga en el Clausura 2026 y además ganó la Liga de Campeones de la CONCACAF en 2016-17. Luego emigró a Europa con el PSV, donde logró dos títulos de liga, uno en su primer año en 2017-18 y el otro en la recién concluida temporada. Entre sus dos etapas en Holanda, Lozano también militó con el Napoli de Italia y salió campeón de la Serie A en la temporada 2022-23.
