The senior government official, speaking on background because they were not authorized to speak about the issue, confirmed the finance minister received the ticket for travelling 132 km/h, while travelling between Grande Prairie and Peace River.It’s not clear what the speed limit is on the stretch of Highway 2 where she was pulled over. It has a top limit of 110 km/h in some areas.
Freeland, who grew up in Peace River and now represents a downtown Toronto riding, was in Alberta last week and toured a natural gas plant in her hometown.
