So far it has been decided that a Christmas tree will be placed at Alexandra Park Gate along with its fixed lights

More than £9000 has been approved for this year’s Christmas lights in Dennistoun which will see key areas of the city lit up for the festive season.

Christmas trees will also be displayed at Royston Road and Sighthill.officer said: “You will recall that we had a paper in the June area partnership around the festive lights and I think we gave it a pretty good discussion at the time. “There is a contribution from the council which will go towards these lights which is £3600. So if you were to approve what I have just outlined, the total cost would be £9491.”
