Christine McGuinness has told how she was left intimidated after a stranger confronted her about using a disabled parking bay with her three autistic children. 'I take any opportunity to educate people on autism. But there’s a time and a place and it’s not when I’m in a car park on my own with three children.
The programme features other people with ‘hidden’ disabilities who are questioned about their ability to work or use disabled facilities. 'I took a deep breathe and sent my children in. Luckily they didn’t understand what was going on? Once they’d happily gone in I approached this ignorant tool. All I wanted to do was bounce him off every car but there would only be one loser in that, me!
