Chris Smith, who played four games for the Houston Texans in 2021, died at the age of 31, his agentSmith, who was playing in the XFL for the Seattle Sea Dragons this season, spent time with the Jaguars, Bengals, Browns, Raiders and Texans in his eight seasons in the NFL, finishing with 11 career sacks. The defensive end was a second-team All-SEC pick at Arkansas before the Jaguars selected him in the fifth round of the 2014 draft.
