It would be nice to read \u0027renaissance\u0027 as meaning something more profound than \u0027victory\u0027
“I really worry,” said Harper, who endorsed Poilievre for the party leadership. “I know the people say ‘develop the plans, develop the proposals,’ but I worry that that’s what the liberal media here wants Pierre Poilievre to do: make himself the issue, let them hold him accountable, while the government continues on what I think is, for the most part, a pretty poor course.”
And while media coverage of Poilievre has been overwhelmingly negative, where it has been at least semi-positive it has often been policy-related. When Poilievre says he wants the federal government to create a new national licensing standard for doctors and nurses, allowing them to work anywhere in Canada, his opponents can’t really say anything at all. It’s absurd such a system doesn’t already exist. The Canadian Medical Association has been calling for it for ages.
