Chippa United fire Hunt, offer coach four months pay
Hunt was suspended following Chippa’s worst start of the season – five losses, four draws and one win – from ten matches.The club’s veteran midfielder Kurt Lentjies, who is still an active player, will replace Hunt who was at the helm for five months.We reached an agreement with Gavin Hunt to terminate his contract as head coach. Four months settlement has been reached between the two parties. We extend our gratitude to coach Hunt and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Chippa, who are languishing second from the bottom of the 16-team DStv Premeirship table, face fellow strugglers Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday afternoon.
