The Natal Rich Boys gave a rare start to Marlon Jacobs between the sticks ahead of Salim Magoola with Luvuyo Memela installed too, as Chippa re-called Decide Chauke and named Etiosa Ighodaro on the bench.
Richards Bay weren’t done and ensured a second a few minutes later as Barns played provider again when he set-up Somila Ntsundwana to thump in and make it 2-0. These alterations proved telling as the Chilli Boys got a lifeline when Ighodaro got a hold of Ronaldo Maarman’s delivery and finished off from inside the area.
The Natal Rich Boys battled immensely to preserve their cushion thereafter and allowed a solid strike from Aviwe Mqokozo outside the area hit the post and rattle the net.
