"We're talking about demanding debt ceiling changes. Why is that? Because it allows us to spend at 2023 defense levels, which was just agreed upon in the old, frankly bloated bipartisan omnibus bill. But it allows us to still spend at just before pre-COVID levels, which happens to be dollar for dollar in line with what 2024 levels were under President Obama's last budget," he continued.
