Chinese President Xi Jinping makes a surprise visit to Wuhan, his first known trip to the center of the coronavirus epidemic since it began
BEIJING—Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Wuhan for a surprise visit Tuesday that marks his first trip to the epicenter of the coronavirus epidemic now spreading around the globe since the health crisis began.
Mr. Xi arrived by airplane for a trip to visit front-line medical workers, military personnel and community workers, state broadcaster China Central Television reported Tuesday.
