More than 80 Chinese diplomats now have Twitter accounts

Such spontaneous name-calling by Chinese diplomats was unusual until recently. But since Mr Xi became China’s leader in 2012, he has encouraged his diplomats to be more robust in their efforts to boost China’s “discourse power”.slid into the direct messages of several Chinese envoys to ask why they were turning to Twitter.
