A federal bid to stop children vaping is being considered as research finds e-cigarettes are addictive and harmful to young people.

GT Communications Executive Director Gemma Tognini says while e-cigarettes are proven to be helpful in getting smokers off traditional cigarettes, they should be banned for children.

“We ban certain things for young minds who are not yet able to assess risk,” she told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.
